In May 2018 Anthea was artist in residence at Astrid Noaks Atelier for 3 weeks. Anthea was tasked with activating a cultural heritage space at Rådmandsgade 34 in Copenhagen. At this time the space was threatened by development on either side. During her time there she spent time with the artists and people invested in the cultural space at Rådmandsgade 34 to find out what they would like to say, as it was their space that required activating/saving. In this way she included everyone in the process of designing what this event could be and acted as a curator of the event as well as a participating artist.

As an artist Anthea brought with her hundreds of gold leaf sheets from Johannesburg – the city of gold. The dream was, with the help of everyone attending the event, to cover the old cultural house in gold: to turn old into gold and see this space as a cultural treasure. She also worked closely with the street artist ZUSA in recovering the old ZUSA in gold leaf. And she invited an opera singer Signe Jeppesen to sing ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ on a scaffolding as the sun was setting. Later on in the evening everyone gathered in one of the artists studios and we all sang together as an impromptu choir the Beatles’ ‘Hello Goodbye’.
